Hard rock trio The Warning release new video “Evolve”

The Warning

As they continue racking up fans, followers, and acclaim from the media and music icons alike, the Monterrey Mexico hard rock sister trio The Warning have emerged to unveil “EVOLVE,” their new single released via LAVA/Republic Records.

“We wrote ‘EVOLVE’ about humanity’s dangerous obsession with evolving,” the band said. “And how sometimes that evolution leads us to slowly leave our humanity behind. Is this dehumanizing evolution right or wrong?”

Produced by the legendary David Beneath (Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Breaking Benjamin), “Evolve” is a musical journey led by Daniela Daniela “Dany” [guitar, lead vocals, piano], Paulina “Pau” [drums, vocals, piano], and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal [bass, piano, backing vocals]. Dany’s vocals simmer with intensity, building tension before exploding into a chorus that unleashes the full force of the energy the sisters bring to every performance. With its signature changes and transformational truth-telling, “EVOLVE” is a track that will keep listeners on the edge of their seats throughout the entire sonic ride. The video, recorded with 16 iPhones and a drone, is a dangerous, fast-paced trip that visually amplifies the anxiety of “EVOLVE” in stunning fashion.

“EVOLVE” comes hot on the heels of the release of their Lava Records debut single, “CHOKE,” for which the band took part in a streamed event/interview with legendary rock tastemaker Matt Pinfield. “CHOKE” cracked over a million streams right out of the gate, drawing acclaim from Loudwire, Rolling Stone Mexico, and Billboard Argentina. Adding to the praise, Pau was called out by the band’s musical peers Olivia Rodrigo and WILLOW for her stunning drum covers of their songs “brutal” and “t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l” on TikTok.

Coming soon: the band has been tapped by Metallica for a cover of “Enter Sandman,” the track that first sent the trio into viral music stardom. The single will be featured on The Metallica Blacklist album, the 30-year anniversary reissue of Metallica’s iconic self-titled 5th album, also known as The Black Album. The reissue is set for release on September 10. In addition, fans will be able to catch The Warning on the road as they perform at the Welcome To Rockville Festival, open for the Foo Fighters in front of a 60,000-person crowd at Mexico City’s Foro Sol, and at a two-night sold-out run at the Troubadour in January 2022.

Stay tuned for more music and news to come as The Warning continues to surge to the forefront of hard rock!

Gemini Syndrome announce new album “3rd Degree – The Raising”

Gemini Syndrome

LA alternative metal band GEMINI SYNDROME have just announced that their new studio album 3rd Degree – The Raising will be released worldwide on October 15, 2021 via Century Media. Special pre-order album configurations (limited edition vinyl, deluxe CD sets, etc) along with special merchandise bundles are available now via the band’s official website: http://geminisyndrome.com.

In celebration of this announcement, a brand new digital single “Abandoned” taken from the forthcoming album has been released today to all major digital retailers and streaming services. Listen to “Abandoned” here.

3rd Degree – The Raising is the long awaited, mind bending final chapter of GEMINI SYNDROME’s debut trilogy of albums; the first being 2013’s Lux, and the second being 2016’s Memento Mori (which hit #1 on Billboard Heatseakers Album Chart and spawned five singles). But whereas those first two albums dealt with the painful struggles of life and death, 3rd Degree – The Raising celebrates the extreme rituals of rebirth. Produced by Matt Good (Asking Alexandria, Memphis May Fire, Hollywood Undead) this is undeniably the heaviest, and darkest album of the band’s career; featuring the singles “Die With Me,” “IDK,” “Abandoned” and “Reintegration.”

“The album is about death and rebirth. Finding your true self and fostering its growth so as to help build the world better than we inherited it.” says GEMINI SYNDROME vocalist Aaron Nordstrom. “In the process of this record I made some major life choices. Mainly to stop killing myself slowly with alcohol. Two years without a drink, and a couple near death experiences later, I think I have ample experience to talk about a subject as elusive as death.”

Drummer Brian Steele Medina adds, “The twist to the 3rd and “final” degree, is that it’s not the end at all. Rather, it’s a rebirth contingent upon our growth and lessons learned from the suffering of our past mistakes. A spiritual growth that can only be attained through baptism by fire. A metaphorical, yet very real resurrection — THE RAISING.”

Nordstrom continues, “Our hope is that through sharing our experiences, lessons learned, and battles overcome, that we can help others to examine their own consciousness. Their role in the world in its almost infinite capacity, and to help remind each other that we are ALL in this together. We are a family, and when we are United in our commonality, we can achieve things worthy of the attention of the GODS. If you want to change the world, quietly go to work on yourself.”

GEMINI SYNDROME spent the better part of 2018-2019 writing 3rd Degree – The Raising, the final installment of their long planned three album trilogy. They retreated to drummer Brian Steele Medina’s Las Vegas home studio, where they meticulously crafted song after song, relentlessly reworking and rearranging the musical arrangements until they were fully satisfied. After an exhaustive writing process, GEMINI SYNDROME relocated to Good Sounds Studio in Tempe AZ, where producer Matt Good would help realize the collection of songs. Medina recalls, “We absolutely loved working with Matt and he completely understood where we wanted to take this album creatively and what it was going to take to bring the third chapter of this trilogy to light. Our actual collective blood, sweat and tears went into its creation.”

“It was a long, treacherous road to get here.” continues Nordstrom. “First working out an insane amount of songs before arriving in Arizona to record with Matt Good, and then writing a slew more while in the actual recording process, we approached this album with high intentions to evolve musically and internally as people. But then, once we had finally finished everything, and were ready to start releasing new music… everything was put on hold due to the global pandemic.”

Medina adds, “These past few years have definitely been an exercise in patience and acceptance. We had everything mixed and mastered and ready to go in early 2020 before everything shut down. We’re just stoked to FINALLY put this album out and get this post plague show on the road.”

3rd Degree – The Raising is the first album to feature guitarist “Meegs” Rascón (formerly of Coal Chamber).

On the brand new single “Abandoned” which has just been released today, Medina says, “This was always one of my favorite heavy riffs that we had in the bank for a while. When the music was finally done Aaron already had a concept in mind he had wanted to tackle for a while.”

Nordstrom elaborates, “At one point when I was working through some of my traumas, my kung fu teacher made me promise to write a song about my adoption and the rejection from my birth mother. This heavy beast of a song was the result. An anthem if you will that I control me. Not anyone or anything else.”

To date, four singles have been released from 3rd Degree – The Raising: “Abandoned,” “Reintegration,” “IDK,” and the currently Top 30 Active Rock Radio hit “Die With Me.” All four singles feature visually stunning videos created by Director Brian Cox (Bring Me The Horizon, The Struts, Starset).

GEMINI SYNDROME is Aaron Nordstrom (vocals, keyboards), Brian Steele Medina (drums, programming), Alessandro “AP” Paveri (bass), Meegs Rascón (guitar), and Nicholas Paul Arnold (touring guitar).

3rd Degree – The Raising will be available in CD, Limited Edition vinyl, and digital download formats.

New wave of classic rock trio The Black Moods announce US tour with The Dead Daisies

The Black Moods

Born in the Arizona desert and reared on stages across North America, THE BLACK MOODS have been trailblazers for the ‘new wave of classic rock’ movement with their guitar-driven rock that delivers a fresh, fiery update of a timeless sound. The trio—vocalist/guitarist JOSH KENNEDY, drummer CHICO DIAZ and bassist/backing vocalist JORDAN HOFFMAN–are excited to announce they will embark on their first tour pegged to their critically acclaimed 2020 sophomore album SUNSHINE–recorded by Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down)–due to the halt of live music last year as a result of the pandemic.

The band will join Australian-American rock collective THE DEAD DAISIES across the U.S. on their “Like No Other” tour this fall alongside rock & roll comedian Don Jamieson (VH1’s That Metal Show). It kicks off September 10 in Rockford, IL and stretches to the West Coast, wrapping in Seattle, WA October 15. The trek includes a stop for THE BLACK MOODS at Aftershock Festival October 9 in Sacramento, CA. Full dates are listed below and tickets are on sale now at www.theblackmoods.com.

In addition to performing hits from SUNSHINE, THE BLACK MOODS will give fans a first listen to new music taken from its much-anticipated follow-up expected to be released later this year. The as-yet-untitled album was recorded over the past year while the band was off the road due to the covid pandemic.

“We’re thrilled to be back on the road again and getting back to what we do best,” shared the band collectively. “Playing with our rock & roll heroes in The Dead Daisies is icing on the cake, and we can’t wait to trade jokes with Don Jamieson as well! We’re happy to finally be able to perform ‘Sunshine’ live and even more excited to share a sneak peek of new material from our upcoming album too. We will see you all on the road!”

SUNSHINE, released last May via Steelhorse Entertainment, marked several career highlights for THE BLACK MOODS including their first-ever Top 20 Billboard Active Rock charting single, title track “Sunshine” (which peaked at #16), a cover feature with their hometown local weekly newspaper, Phoenix New Times (May 7, 2020) and three additional Top 30 singles (“Bad News” [#24], “Bella Donna” [#29] and “Whatcha Got” [#30]). The band also released a stirring music video for the album’s ballad “Home” which featured footage of the band and their families which captured the world’s feeling of struggling being unable to be with loved ones.

With touring at a halt, THE BLACK MOODS temporarily relocated their home studio from Phoenix to the Ozarks (where Kennedy was born and raised) and recorded their next album in the house of their label owner, once again with Karkazis, in addition to recording a track remotely using advanced virtual software with legendary producer Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, The Beatles) who was based in Canada. Stay tuned for further details on their third album–due out later this year–in the coming months.

Come experience THE BLACK MOODS riveting live show at one of their upcoming dates.

Chicago rocker Gary Camaro set to unleash new album “In The Direction Of Travel”

Gary Camaro

The new sophomore release from local Chicago rocker, Gary Camaro sounds more like a travelogue than a rock & roll record. Though, it does rock pretty hard with loud echoes of escapism & romantic notions envisioned from sonic murals of the American Southwest.

The opening riff of “Down To The Wire” moves like the official pace car of the album as Camaro wears his love of that Keith Richards open G tuning on his sleeve like a badge of honor. This IS rock & roll. And in the direction of travel, doors open on the right at Rock & Roll. Then, the green flag flies & the sound shifts into high gear as the pedal hits the metal on “Down The Highway” & the speakers roar out a mixture of burning rubber & fury. This song incinerates right out of the gate with blistering guitars & screaming beatitude.

And that highway departs, from the abhorrence of Chicago, Illinois to the O’Keefe landscapes of New Mexico in “Wild Onion Exodus”. This song is Americana at its finest, packed tight with rollicking honky tonk piano strides & a pure southern fried fiddle that serenades over lyrical scenes of a land ever so enchanted, before leading the listener back to Chicago’s Northside for another fiddle induced country lament of the everlasting love in “Oh, Rosemarie!”.

The Dylan-esque sounds of “The Last Train Out Of San Miguel de Allende” is a poetic jangle that journeys south of the Rio Grande in tribute to Neal Cassidy, the great hero of the Beat Generation, his counterculture ways & the last place anyone ever saw him alive. As the record shifts back to the more pop rock flavor of “The Ballad Of Lily Flowers” it becomes highway bound, once again, with hitchhiking lycanthropy in “Werewolf Ryder Blues” as the verses flow with gritty B3 organ heavy utopian desert panoramas & a haunting howl of the Clair de Lune.

Bringing this record to a close is the penultimate song “Mr. Jailer Man” that hears a sentenced man’s begging pleas of western redemption, as the pedal steel cries, before that long climb to the gallows, only to jailbreak those chains into the heavy riff rock, grand finale of “The (Not-So) Great Escape” that sees our hero, once again, guitar solos blasting, on down that lonesome highway, into an anti-social, misanthropic & very bitter sunset.

With an album so full of emotional piss & vinegar with heavy Americana guitar riffs that nod to the influences of Izzy Stradlin, Son Volt, Jack Kerouac, The Georgia Satellites, Gram Parsons, The Dogs D’Amour, Flies On Fire, Bob Dylan & The Rolling Stones…Gary Camaro has crossed the finish line & captured the checkered flag of Rock & Roll.

In The Direction Of Travel” is not an album. It’s a victory lap.

Next generation LA rockers Classless Act release debut single “Give It To Me”

Classless Act

Classless Act, the next-generation rock band from Los Angeles already receiving buzz for their unique style and development story, have dropped their highly-anticipated debut single “Give It To Me” via Better Noise Music.

The track was produced and mixed by legendary producer Joe Chicarelli, who has worked with a vast list of music icons including U2, Elton John, White Stripes and The Killers.

With it’s playful lyrics and an infectious modern glam-rock sonic vibe, “Give It To Me” is not only perfect for summertime playlists, but a fitting first offering from a group of musicians who are already carving their own path, while also paying homage to their many classic rock influences.

“Give It To Me” is now available for streaming and download across digital platforms: classlessact.ffm.to/giveittome

Formed in 2019 through social media, Classless Act’s origin is a modern take on a classic story. Replacing the old ways of band formation from rock music’s heyday – through want ads and gig connections – the band instead built a brotherhood mostly out of DMs and other exchanges on Instagram and TikTok. That connection was deepened while working on new music and living together in Los Angeles. Eventually, their collective artistic vision led them to landing a deal with Better Noise Music, currently ranked Billboard’s #1 rock label. And now as they start putting their music out there for the world to hear, Classless Act are ready to show audiences what they’re all about.

Of the single’s release, lead singer Derek Day says, “It’s a dream come true for Classless Act to be a part of the Better Noise family. And the boys and I have been working really hard to give you something to shake your ass to. Now, summer’s here and the time is right for a couple of guitars, some bass and drums and a whole buncha Me. Let’s get to it!!”

The band further embodies the song’s carefree vibe in the “Give It To Me” Official Music Video, which premiered today alongside the song’s release.  The visual was directed by Travis Shinn, and shows the band’s unique ability to use their five different personalities to create one irresistible music experience.

Already catching the attention of the industry the band will be notably hitting the road next year with Mötley Crüe on their North America Stadium Tour. But before that fans can expect the band’s debut EP later this year.

Saving Abel welcome back original vocalist & announce new EP “Shade of Grace – Twenty Year Songs”

Saving Abel

SAVING ABEL has announced the return of original vocalist Jared Weeks and Shade of Grace – Twenty Year Songs, a new EP that revisits some of the group’s earliest material, out this Friday.

Shade of Grace – Twenty Year Songs, a nod to the band’s original moniker when they first formed back in 2005, revisits the earliest tracks written by co-founders Weeks and guitarist Jason Null.

“Our producer Skidd, Jared and myself all started going back to those songs independently of each other,” Null explains. “We all felt drawn back to the beginning without even speaking to each other about it initially. So, that’s what we did.”

Prior to the announcement of the departure of Scotty Austin, who replaced Weeks in 2013, Weeks and Null had already entered the studio with producer Skidd Mills for the first time in nearly a decade to reexamine the older tracks. “You never know how it’s gonna feel,” Weeks says. “Like, will this be weird? Will we still have that cool thing we had in the beginning? Well, let me just tell you, it’s there. I felt like I was back to that young, excited, not jaded guy. There’s just something about the three of us together that is magic.” The sessions even produced a new track, further proving that the connection is still there.

Meanwhile, a shift in SAVING ABEL was taking place, with Austin deciding to take a step back and pursue his own path, just as Weeks and Null are reminiscing about how SAVING ABEL started. “It was time,” Weeks says. “Time to come home.”

Shade of Grace – Twenty Year Songs is a stroll down a nostalgic road where it beautifully showcases how Shade of Grace became SAVING ABEL and how a small duo from Corinth, MS, could take their big dreams and turn them into big realities.

Pre-save Shade of Grace – Twenty Year Songs at https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/savingabel/shade-of-grace-20-year-songs.

SAVING ABEL is currently at work on a fall 2021 “essentials” album featuring three previously unreleased songs and a spring 2022 studio with Weeks once again fronting the band.

“The sky is the limited for us right now,” Weeks says, “We already made the mistakes and poor decisions. Now we get to do it our way, with a little more clear headedness and a lot more guitar solos.”

Shade of Grace – Twenty Year Songs track listing

1. Southern Train
2. Wasted Time
3. I Sing a Song
4. By Your Damn Self
5. The Way I’ve Been Loving You
6. Whatever it Takes

The Reed Effect release video for “Fine Here” from latest album ‘1973’

The Reed Effect

THE REED EFFECT “FINE HERE” video release from their album, 1973 is here. Screaming rock -n- roll in your ears and laying down a heavy rolling groove with flashbacks to the hell yeah! The Reed Effect kicks it off with their first video release, “Fine Here”. With incredible riffs and a mind-bending bridge, The Reed Effect sell their brand of cool.
Check out The Reed Effect and get ready for some huge scoops of rowdy, ready rock n roll!

“This tune is totally in your face rock n roll! It just grabs you by the balls!” – producer Ted Sevdalis

“Fine Here” is the first single from our new Album, ‘1973’. My brother and bandmate, Chris Reed, passed away on October 10th, 2020, just days before we were planning to release this album. Of course, my producer and I postponed the release. Now is the time to bring the music we created to the masses. We went all out on this one, and are fortunate enough to have caught some of Chris’s magic and brilliance on this album. This is his Swan Song. And boy, did he go out with a bang.” – Kirk Reed

Hailing from Toronto, and having spent the last several years proudly cutting their teeth in the best live music venues north of the border, The Reed Effect have been warping minds with their lyrics, shaking hips with their riffs, and assaulting all five senses with an onslaught of progressively addictive rock hooks that pull from grunge, metal, and blues. Having been tapped as support for bands like Jeff Martin of The Tea Party, The Wild, Die Mannequin, and Busty and the Bass, The Reed Effect have been leaving their unique brand of rock lingering in the air of venues across Canada since day one.

Founding member and frontman/guitarist Kirk Reed along with his brother Chris on bass and backup vocals are formidable. Their new album, 1973, was released in May of 2021. The bar is set higher than ever, and the band has never been more proud of the heavy grooves they’re about to unleash.

2020 has been a hard year on all of us, and The Reed Effect has definitely felt that pain. Chris Reed, bassist, vocalist, bandmate, friend, and brother tragically took his own life on October 10th, 2020, just as the new music was about to be released. Being very close, Chris’s death hit Kirk hard. But Kirk feels it is important to let the world hear this music – not just as a tribute to Chris and his legacy, but as a celebration of their collaboration and brotherly love.

“Fine Here” is the first single from 1973. We miss and love you, Chris. The music you and Kirk worked on will be heard soon.
