IBOTW: Bulletproof Messenger

Bulletproof Messenger’s Scott Martin sat down and answered a few questions about himself and the band.  Also you can go over to their website(link at the bottom) and follow the tracker to the countdown of new music to be released    Why did you pick your band name? Well, we used to be called Gone to Earth, and it never really meant anything…so we were throwing around ideas for a more meaningful name, and we were toying with the phrase “don’t shoot the messenger” (in reference to how bands/music carries a message) and it was pretty much an immediate “YES!” for all of us. What’s the best and worst thing about playing clubs? The best – they tend to be really intimate venues, where the separation from your audience isn’t very far at all. I love that feel to a show, and I think that’s really the way rock and roll was meant to be played and experienced. It’s a community affair, you know? It’s music for everyone in that room – we’re all singing it, playing it, believing it, and we’re all right there together, able to see and interact with each other. How would you define the word […]

IBOTW: Don’t Believe in Ghosts

A compelling state-of-the art indie pop band with an eclectic New York City sound. Don’t Believe in Ghosts, led by singer/producer and writer Steven Nathan, rose from his home studio in 2017. The band is rounded out by Dan DelVecchio on Guitar, Alex Goumas on Bass, and Ken Yang on Drums. The bands’ achievements include song features on many TV shows including ‘Ink Master’ and The U.S. OPEN. Don’t Believe In Ghosts teamed up with 8-time Grammy-winning mixer Ken Lewis for their single “Don’t Wake Me Up”. The song’s video featured famed comedic actor Gilbert Gottfried. “Don’t Wake Me Up” earned more than one million retail and radio plays. In 2019 Don’t Believe In Ghosts sold out their first headlining show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. In the summer of 2019, the band embarked on their first U.S. tour. “Don’t give energy to the ghosts of your past.” Says Steven Nathan when describing the meaning behind the bands’ name. “Worrying about what other people may think can be draining and debilitating.” Don’t Believe In Ghosts amplifies this theme throughout their music.     How do you describe your music to people?  We’d classify our music as an eclectic blend of indie and pop with a modern twist. We try not to take ourselves too […]

IBOTW: The Midnight Preachers

Irish rock band The Midnight Preachers released their new single titled “Pusher Woman” to all digital outlets via The Label Group/INgrooves. The band also released the official music video for the single that was drawn by the band’s very own Emer McLaughlin on her iPad. Pusher Woman (Official Video) – The Midnight Preachers: Or hear the song here  http://rockrevoltmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Pusher-Woman.mp3   “Pusher Woman” was written by Eoghan MacSheain & Emer McLaughlin, produced by John Henry and mixed/mastered by Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Sons Of Apollo, Asia, Guns N Roses). Formed in the north-west of Ireland in late 2017, The Midnight Preachers blasted onto the Irish music scene with a distinctive hard rock sound. Avoiding the modern trappings of overexposure on social media, the band’s approach is to leave more to the imagination of the listener, and to make the music their priority. Featuring rich vocal harmonies, Fender Rhodes piano and classic rock style riffs, their first single “California” debuted at #2 on iTunes in Ireland, on New Years Day 2018. Following an Irish tour which culminated in a headline show with legendary guitar player Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (solo artist / ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist), The Midnight Preachers returned to the studio, recording […]
