The Dead EP

Rum Bar Records

Hot on the heals of their White Girl Wasted EP Boston’s cool punk rock combo, A Bunch of Jerks have just dropped their 3 track EP featuring The Dead, CHAD and a cover of Alice Cooper’s No More Mr. Nice Guy.

Those on the other side of ‘the pond’ who have had the fortune to see the band perform will be familiar with these tunes and pleased that these live favourites have now been committed to ‘tape’ during lockdown. Those of us in the UK should be just happy to be able to hear them!

The band have recently received the seal of approval Stateside from legendary DJ Rodney Bingenheimer, featuring tracks on his show ‘Rodney on the Rock’ who has supported many up and coming bands over the years including Blondie; The Ramones; and Nirvana to name a few.

From this EP, my favourite of the bunch is CHAD (short and snappy at only 100 seconds long) which falls “somewhere between The Capitols “Cool Jerk” and The Surfaris “Wipe Out” with a dash of more cowbell”. It’s 100% all American and oozes 60’s B Movie.

A Bunch of Jerks have delivered a fun dancefloor rave up for punks and rockers alike

More please!
